As rivals, the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames compete in the same province, but the Flames fell short in the last Battle of Alberta in the playoffs after the end of Darryl Sutter's tenure.

With a 23-12-0-0 playoff record, the Oilers show who is the best team in the province at all time. Edmonton consistently dominated them in the 2021-2022 playoffs.

Leon Draisaitl vs. the Calgary Flames (career playoff numbers):

5 Games
 2 Goals
15 Assists (6th most of any player against CGY)
17 Points (13th most of any player against CGY)
 3.40 Pts/Game (279pt pace)
 +8
 14 Shots
 4-1 Record (1-0 series)

Leon dominates Calgary.

In the same way, the Oilers' playoff record against the Flames becomes even more impressive if we include Leon Draisaitl in the mix.

It is incredible that Draisaitl has a 4-1 record against the Calgary Flames, scoring 2 goals, 15 assists, and 17 points with an absurd 3.40 points per game, +8, and 14 shots.

With these statistics, Leon Draisaitl dominates the Flames on his own, but it is doubtful that the streak will continue, because there may not be a Battle of Alberta in the playoffs this year.
