Mark Stone reveals his injury status before Vegas' playoff game one
The Vegas Golden Knights have been the subject of much controversy surrounding their usage of LTIR and their captain, Mark Stone. Just as everyone predicted, Stone revealed today that he will be back in the lineup for game one.
For the last three seasons, Mark Stone has been placed on the LTIR just before the trade deadline. This allows Vegas to acquire much more salary in trades, and then ice a super team in the playoffs when Stone miraculously returns for game one. This year, Stone was placed on LTIR on February 22nd, and given an indefinite timeline for recovery. It's a real miracle he's back just in time for the playoffs, apparently.
"I'm excited I'm going to play tonight. I'm healthy and ready to go.
Yeah, it sucked. The first couple weeks I couldn't do really anything. It was tough to start to feel better but look at the scans as realize I'm not even close. I worked very hard to get to the point we are at today, the scans look good so let's go play."

Fans are really becoming fed up with what's become an obvious loophole in the salary cap, that Vegas is perfectly utilizing with a chronically injured star player.
Now, none of their salary cap shenanigans will matter, and the Vegas Golden Knights will enter the playoffs with the best roster they've had all season, looking to defend their Stanley Cup from last season.
