It was revealed today by Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet that NHL held a meeting with teams and head coaches regarding the art of embellishing calls as players have made it an art to embellish a penalty to get a power play.

It's become a trend recently in the last few regular seasons along with playoff rounds of players who overexaggerate a fall from a push or not even touched at all in order to show the referees that there was something egregious.

Tocchet himself despises embellishment and has not insinuated that the Oilers will be that team but it certainly must give him along with other coaches that this will be looks after.

«I can't stand embellishment,» Tocchet continued. «I'm not even saying that Edmonton is an embellish team. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that I would be very on guard with the refs this playoff with this embellishment.

«Snapping heads, falling down I think it's become a lot. I think it's up to the coaches. I don't think you can promote that stuff. If not, the NHL has to do something about that stuff with the refs.»
