Matthew Tkachuk disrespects Maple Leafs during press conference
It's less than 24 hours since the Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs by the Boston Bruins in Game 7 and many have jumped on the Maple Leafs includingFlorida Panthers superstar Matthew Tkachuk During a press conference, Tkachuk completely disrespected the Maple Leafs as he felt everyone knew the Bruins would win.
"Without this coming out too badly, I think we all knew it was probably going to Boston the way that series was going...I think throughout the whole series we were probably expecting they were going to come out and win it one way or another."
It's no surprise that he took a shot at the Maple Leafs as last season Maple Leafs fans were chanting in Toronto streets «We want Florida» after they disposed the Tampa Bay Lightning. Fans felt that the Panthers were the easier matchup to which the Maple Leafs quickly found out how strong the Panthers were as Florida rolled the Maple Leafs in five games.
It'll be an interesting series between the Bruins and the Panthers as they have history from last year, where the Panthers staged a 3-1 come back and beat the Bruins in overtime in Game 7. It was noted that the Bruins beat the Panthers all season but as many know, playoff hockey is far different than regular season hockey.
