The Florida Panthers first Stanley Cup win in franchise history is being logged into the Hockey Hall of Fame, along with one hilarious and gross item from Matthew Tkachuk.

Along with game worn jerseys, skates, and sticks, Matthew Tkachuk's used and chewed up mouthguard is on display at the Hall of Fame.

Tkachuk is one of many hockey players who are known to skate around mostly chewing on a mouthguard instead of using it for protection - to the point where it becomes part of players style to have the mouthguard hanging out.

In the Panthers' playoff matchup with the Rangers this season, forward Chris Kreider hilariously yanked Tkachuk's mouthguard and tossed it into the stands.

It's gross, hilarious, and entirely fitting to have Tkachuk's mouthguard in the front of the display for the Panthers' Cup win. He's led the Panthers to two Cup Final appearances in two years since being traded there, and has totally changed the perception of the Panthers franchise.

The Panthers Stanley Cup Victory over the Oilers was a gutsy one, just barely able to hold off the Oilers storming back to win the series in 7 games. Florida clearly leaned on their experience of being in the Final the previous year, and hopefully, the Oilers will set themselves up in the same position next year.
