In Calgary, the Flames seem destined for disaster, but no one knows when it will happen.

The team has put all contract talks on hold while it works on a new approach to negotiations.

All contract talks are now on hold for a Flames organization that may be on the precipice of having to take a radical new approach.

The Flames aren't looking to rebuild right away, but to retool as it seems that some of their top players, like Noah Hanifin and Elias Lindholm, may be moved.

The Flames have been blown out, right? As some of the team's top producers have been abysmal lately, the offense lacks spark. Recently, the team has scored an abysmal six goals in five games, leading to a radical idea to pause all contract negotiations.

The collapse of the Calgary Flames needs to be a documentary, because goodddddd lord.

After Darryl Sutter's firing, Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanifin may regret signing long-term contracts last season.

With 19 goals combined and a -15, only the San Jose Sharks have done worse than the Flames. Nazeem Kadri and Jonathan Huberdear have combined for just three goals and four assists for a -21!

The team is led by Andrew Managiapane, who has scored three goals and accrued six points. Currently, the Flames are ranked 20th in the league with a 15.6% power-play rating.

The team will have to consider drastic measures following the lackluster performance against the Oilers since contract talks with Noah Hanifin have been halted.

Is every player on the trade block? Besides Daniel Vladar and Nikita Zadorov, Chris Tanev may be traded to complete the short-term retool.

The team needs to figure it out quick, or they will be left behind in the weakest division in the NHL.
