Connor McDavid humiliates Toronto fans, answers questions about his future
Last night, McDavid won the NHL Skills competition for the fourth time in his career, this time in his home city of Toronto. After the victory, McDavid was pulled aside for an interview on the bench, where he was asked how special it feels to win this event in his home city.
Instead of responding to the question of his hometown and recognizing any special feeling about winning in Toronto, McDavid entirely ignored that part of the question and focused on the incredible support from Oilers fans across the country. He also put out a call to Oilers fans to travel to Vegas on Tuesday night to see the Oilers potentially tie the all time win streak record.
Yeah it's always great to see the Oiler fans out. Hopefully we'll see them in Vegas on Tuesday for a big game. Looking forward to that.
By completely dodging any mention of a special feeling of playing in Toronto, McDavid shows his true allegiance and loyalty to the Edmonton Oilers. For years, Leafs fans have tried to drum up controversy by proclaiming that McDavid will sign in Toronto in free agency, and with comments like these showing total loyalty to Edmonton, McDavid is shutting down those rumours himself.
