Coyotes Relocation Could be Imminent as League Executives Bash the Franchise
The Arizona Coyotes have been in a mess for the past couple years now. They didn't have enough money to keep their arena a couple years ago, so they had to move to Mullett Arena, where the Arizona State Sundevils of the NCAA play hockey. Zona then came up with an idea to move to Tempe, Arizona, but they didn't receive enough votes to put an arena there and got stuck at Mullett for another season.
At the All Star Game, top NHL executives such as Gary Bettman were made available. Of course, one of the questions asked was if there were any updates on the Coyotes. Well, he didn't happen to say this out loud, but Friedman said that the NHL wanted a plan by the All Star break, and, well, we're pass the break and we still don't have one.
