Despite being a journeyman at the end of his career, Tyler Ennis was a massive fan favourite in his draft team of the Buffalo Sabres. Despite how awful the team was over his career there, fans really took to Tyler Ennis as a personality on the team. This comes with the recent news that Ennis has retired, as most people had speculated.

After Buffalo, Ennis spent brief stints with the Wild, Leafs, Senators and of course, the Oilers. During these stints he was moved often and topped out at 33 points in a season, and he was never healthy enough to finish a full season. He would then spend the 2022-23 season in the Swiss league, and then spend part of this season in the Dutch professional league before officially declaring retirement due to lingering health concerns.

Ennis has had a long career in the NHL, but unfortunately just could never stay healthy. In his career he picked up 346 points in 700 games, with some good early years for the Sabres. It always sucks to see players retire due to health reasons, and we wish Ennis the best in retirement.
