ESPN had released their rankings of the top 100 athletes this century and they gave Oilers captain Connor McDavid a horrible rank position.
David Staples revealed the american sports network ranking McDavid 98 out of 100 which is an appalling number, considering his athleticism and the number of records he has been breaking over the past several years in his career.
The 27-year-old superstar and face of the NHL has had 985 points in 645 games and has gone to several conference finals and a Stanley Cup final this year. He has lived up to expectations and has gone well beyond and above.
Of course, this is my view and the ranking of an NHL hockey fan but on a athletic level, McDavid is far better than the ranking that ESPN gave him and should reevaluate how they determine who is in the rankings of the best athlete of the century.
