The Edmonton Oilers are back at home for a day game against the Vegas Golden Knights, and they'll have Evan Bouchard back in the lineup after an injury scare.

In the final moments of the Oilers last game against the Minnesota Wild, Bouchard took a hit from Ryan Hartman that caused a minor injury.

Coach Knoblauch described Bouchard as a game time decision yesterday, and today as the Oilers took the ice for warmups, Bouchard was present and appears to be playing.

In addition, Stuart Skinner will be in the crease after backup Calvin Pickard got the win against Minnesota. The Oilers are rolling with the same winning line combinations.

Evan Bouchard Playing After Sustaining Minor Injury Last Game

The Edmonton Oilers are incredibly fortunate to have Evan Bouchard, their best defenceman, back in the lineup right away after being clearly shaken up by the Hartman hit.

Some fans called for Hartman to be suspended for the play, but in reality, it was nothing more than a missed interference penalty that Bouchard got the worst of.

It also will keep the Oilers from playing defenceman Josh Brown, who was called up from the Bakersfield Condors yesterday. Oilers defenceman Alec Regula is also nearly ready to go, but is still dealing with a knee injury, and needs to be activated first to play.

For a game against a rival team like the Vegas Golden Knights, it's great that Bouchard will be in the lineup and the Oilers will play at full strength.

More details and analysis to come.
