During a training camp press conference, Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse refuses to answer any questions regarding his injury status.

A question was posed to him asking how serious his injuries are to which Nurse will not go into details.

«They get to answer that,» he said. «I'm not going to dive into injury or whatever I'm not going to dive into it.»

He mentioned that it is a possible «fluid thing» that he intends to manage over the course of training camp but it also may keep him away as he recovers.

The Oilers had some serious questions for their right shot second pairing defenseman who will be partnered up with Nurse. The team has recently seen departures with Cody Ceci, Vincent Desharnais and Philip Broberg through an offer sheet to the St Louis Blues.

The team had also acquired replacement defensemen with Ty Emberson from the Sharks, Troy Stetcher on a new contract and Josh Brown. This group of defensemen will likely see ice time but it's safe to say the Oilers will attempt to make a trade within the next couple of weeks to shore up that position.

It's expected that Oilers legendary defenseman and defensive coach Paul Coffey will attempt to find the proper fit for nurse until a trade can be crafted and reinforcements arrive.
