The Oilers out of nowhere won 16 games in a row and are 7-3 in their last ten, forcing themselves back into the playoff picture. Well, there has been one guy who has arguably done nothing to get them there, and that player is Connor Brown.
Connor Brown hasn't scored a single goal in his last 1,128 shifts. He's up there with Rangers' Riley Nash and Jets' Rasmus Kupari. The worst part yet: he's making $4 million a year next season.
Brown is currently 30 years old and was brought in Edmonton has a depth piece. Connor has just four assists in 43 games this year; he has not scored a single goal.
Literal goalies are out scoring Connor Brown this year. Tristan Jarry of the Penguins has more goals than Brown, and Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom has more points. Even Grant Fuhr in 1984 is completely dusting Brown in points.
Hopefully, Connor gets going, because if not, he'll be a big liability in the playoffs.
