Dillon hitting Acciari

In the second period of tonight's game between the Winnipeg Jets and Pittsburgh Penguins, Jets defender Brendan Dillon made an absolutely awful hit against Penguins forward Noel Acciari.

Acciari is skating toward the puck and leaning forward when Dillon sets his sights on the massive body check. Acciari looks like he leans to the side to avoid contact, and at the same time Dillon plows through and makes direct contact with the head, popping off the helmet several feet in the air.
Dillon was assessed a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for the hit, and will likely be hearing from the NHL Department of Player Safety. At the time of writing, Acciari still hasn't returned to the game, and was likely pulled from the game by the concussion spotter.
