Bruins' Frederic left bloodied after beating from Lightning's Jeannot
In today's game between two eastern powerhouses in Boston and Tampa, things got physical and Trent Frederic left bloodied by a fight with Tanner Jeannot.
Late in the first period in a tie game, the two tough guys squared off, but Jeannot easily got the better of his opponent. Controlling the fight from the star, Jeannot dealt some heavy right hooks. It seems that early on, Jeannot caught Frederic with a direct punch that caused the cut, and Frederic turtled for the rest of the fight and took a beating.
Both players went to the dressing room as there was only minutes left in the period, and even though Frederic left with a visibly nasty cut, there's almost no doubt he'll be stitched up and ready to go by the start of the second period. Thats just hockey players at this time of year, especially in a big test game like this between two contending teams.
As we near the playoffs, games down the stretch will only get more intense and physical, just like this one. Get ready hockey fans, it's the best time of year!
