The Winnipeg Jets have been on an incredible run all season as the team has found a new gear in its style of play as it currently leads the Central Division with 27 wins.

As the team has bought into Rick Bowness' system especially with their defensive style and a +43 goal differential, it's given Jets fans reason to believe that this is their year.

However, moments ago it was reported that Jets superstar Mark Schiefele had to leave the game against the Blackhawks due to a lower body injury.

It's thought is that during the opening minutes of the second period, Scheifele had left the bench and went down the tunnel in complete discomfort. Some pointed out that it's a possible groin injury as many saw Mark discussing it with Nino Niederreiter.

If this happens to be the case, this is a huge blow for the Jets as the team continues to ascend into the standings. If he is expected to miss time, their offense will take a hit as he scored 14 goals with 27 assists for 41 points and is a +18 through 40 games.

Certainly, the team has plenty of talent to continue but a man of Scheifele's calibre will be needed to continue this run.
