Milan Lucic Throws Big Shade at His Former Canadian Team
Last Saturday brought exciting news for hockey fans as trade rumors swirled online. Milan Lucic, a depth piece for the Flames over the past three seasons, made headlines by being traded back to the team where he once lifted the Stanley Cupthe Boston Bruins.
It was a thrilling moment for fans throughout Boston.
However, just a week later, Lucic made some remarks that cast a shadow over his time in Calgary. According to a tweet from @dashinthepark, Lucic shared his candid thoughts, acknowledging the city's smaller size and emphasizing the age of the arena.
It's a smaller city, there's not much going on other than the Flames.
Even though we all love the Dome, it's old. That's the main thing.
Not trying to sound totally harsh, he also throws in that he's
just trying to give [you] an honest answer about what guys are thinking about.
While these comments may have caught some off guard, it's important to remember that personal opinions and social media drama aside, Lucic's tenacious playing style and ability to get the job done on the ice make him a valuable asset for both the Flames and his returning Bruins.
