Oilers Players Caught on Mic Talking About Connor Bedard at Practice
Several years ago, a player named Connor McDavid was circulating the NHL rinks and management teams as the next phenom and generational talent to emerge on the NHL. When he arrived in 2015, all fans, managers and players watched in awe as this superstar in the making began to put his stamp on NHL records.
Fast forward to 2023, and a new Connor is being discussed throughout the NHL rinks as the next phenom. Connor Bedard, the 17-year-old sensation from the Western Hockey League has been giving NHL general managers trying to reach the bottom something to Draft for.
The Regina Pats centerman has been giving stats people a dream with plane 54 games, scoring 69 goals and 70 assists for an eye-watering 139 points. He is a + 40 has 62 penalty minutes and has scored 11 game-winning goals and five shorthanded goals.
Having said all that, Oilers forward Kailer Yamamoto talked about him during practice while he was showing his scoring ability on an empty net.
Whoever will draft this young man, will instantly get a franchise player that they can build around and become an NHL playoff and Stanley Cup contender quickly.
Bedard's fate will be known on May 8th, 2023 when the NHL draft lottery is announced.
