Patrick Kane's 4 Potential Destinations Revealed & One Canadian Team Hits The List
Unrestricted free agent Patrick Kane remains unsigned, his recovery from hip surgery delaying his return to the ice until November or December.
The veteran's name has been linked to several teams, including the Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, hometown Buffalo Sabres, and the New York Rangers, where he briefly played last season.
"He might choose Edmonton or Colorado, or maybe Buffalo, depending on cap space and winning prospects."
Arthur Staple of The Athletic noted that the choice ultimately lies with Kane, weighing factors like cap hit and the team's championship potential.
"And then Kane has to choose them. He might choose Edmonton or Colorado, or maybe Buffalo, depending on who can squeeze a modest cap hit in and which team Kane feels has the best chance to win. I have heard he really enjoyed his brief Rangers stint and would love a shot to show what he can do there when healthy, which he definitely was not in the spring." Staple said.
Despite his injury, Kane managed almost 60 points over 73 games between the Blackhawks and Rangers. Which team Kane will choose as his next destination continues to spark speculation across the hockey community.
