SIGNING ALERT: The Edmonton Oilers Have Announced a New Signing
Jake Chiasson is a highly touted prospect in the Edmonton Oilers organization, selected by the team in the fourth round of the 2021 NHL Draft. The 6'3", 194-pound forward has already made a name for himself with his impressive size, speed, and offensive instincts.
Chiasson began his junior career with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he tallied 15 goals and 23 assists in 57 games during the 2019-20 season. He then moved on to the BCHL's Surrey Eagles, where he posted an impressive 21 goals and 18 assists in just 19 games played.
Despite his young age and relatively limited experience, Chiasson has already shown an ability to produce at a high level. He possesses a powerful shot and strong playmaking abilities, making him a threat from all areas of the ice. With his size and skill, he has the potential to develop into a dominant force in the NHL for years to come, and it may be sooner than we think with the most recent news...
The #Oilers have signed Jake Chiasson to a three-year entry level contract starting with the 2023-24 season. The forward was the club's fourth-round selection, 116th overall, at the 2021 #NHLDraft.
As he continues to develop in the Oilers organization, it will be exciting to see how Chiasson's game progresses and how he fits into the team's plans for the future.
