The Oilers' 2022-2023 NHL season will be marked by numerous records and statistics broken by their players. In addition to Connor McDavid's impressive numbers, Leon Draisaitl's steady and fantastic numbers, and Ryan Nugent Hopkins' surprise season, Oilers fans have a lot to celebrate.
According to Sportsnet stats, the Oilers have broken another record regarding the number of players who have passed 60 assists in a single season.
The stats dump is impressive. McDavid, Draisaitl and Nugent Hopkins have 83, 69, and 61 assists between all three players. All three players have over 50 power-play points each And all three have over 20 minutes in penalty minutes.
Mind you, this is a seasonal stat and the Oilers organization needs this to continue into the playoffs and give their team a chance to go deep through the Western Conference.
Time will tell to see how the Oilers will fare as they have a few obstacles in front of them in their quest to lift their 6th Stanley Cup.
