A lifelong Maple Leafs fan checked off the last thing on his bucket list before passing. What was his last wish on his bucket list you might ask? It was to attend a Leafs game in person for the first time and he finally did that on Wednesday January 25th against the New York Rangers. The Leafs and Rangers put on a show for him as the game went to OT after Liljegren tied the game up at 2 a piece with less than 5 minutes remaining in the third period.

It only took Marner 19 seconds into OT to get the game winner, and the lifelong Leafs fan that only goes by "Mike" was ecstatic. Mikes friend Craig Meredith who Mike had attended the game with went on to say, "he couldn't be happier heading back to Peterborough after the game".

Afterwards the Leafs heard about this story, they made a tweet of their own saying how it was an honour to have Mike attend the game. Sad what happened after the game, but he held on long enough to fulfill his dream which was to watch the Leafs live.
