Even field hockey can have the old time physicality that ice hockey has, and today's Olympic final proved just that.

Earlier today, the Netherlands won gold over Germany in a shootout, and one player taunted the German goaltender. A scrum broke out on the surface, with players coming together to fight in the final moments before the medal ceremony.

Unfortunately, the Olympics has extremely strict rules of sharing video content, so many fans won't be able to even see the event.

Apparently a cardinal rule of field hockey are just the same as ice hockey: never mess with the goalie, and don't celebrate without sportsmanship. The response of a scrum being just the same in field hockey is equally hilarious and awesome.

Even though it's obviously quite similar to ball hockey and ice hockey, surprisingly neither Canada or the United States took part in field hockey at this year's Olympics. It's a slight change, but if ball hockey was included, you know Canada would be right up there.
