Insane playoff race leaves 4 teams fighting for playoffs on last day
With the eastern conference wildcard race coming down to the very last game, the wildcard race has been one of the most exciting ever. It seems like every team that has been in the race was in a different position throughout the season and has a different story as to why they deserve to be in the playoffs.
With the Islanders locking up one of the last two playoff spots, there are 4 teams left to fight for the last spot with their last regular season game. Between the Capitals, Red Wings, Penguins and Flyers one of those teams will end up grabbing the last spot. Here are all the easiest scenarios for all teams to make the playoffs:

After the Capitals there are the Red Wings, who make the playoffs if they can grab one more point than the Capitals. The Penguins can get in if both the Capitals and Red Wings lose and they can win, and the Flyers can make it in if all three other teams lose. Here are the full clinching scenarios for all teams:
This list fully shows how all teams can make playoffs, with every possible scenario listed on here. It's very interesting to note that the Flyers play the Capitals later today, so they both have a chance to stop the other team and make playoffs off this game. It will be very interesting to see how this unfolds and which team ends up grabbing the spot in one of the most intense wildcard races in recent memory.
