Matthew Tkachuk makes a classy gesture with Panthers post game victory puck
The Florida Panthers went through some off-ice adversity just to get to Edmonton through some brutal weather for Game 3, and after their win, Tkachuk recognized their organization's effort.
In a behind the scenes video, Tkachuk gave the Panthers' win puck to Mike Huff, the Vice President of Player Engagement. By the sounds of Tkachuk's speech, Huff played a big part in the travel logistics for the team.
»That close to our dream and it takes a f*****g whole organization to get us to this moment right now. So, I'm gonna go a little off the board here: Huffer!»
- Matthew Tkachuk Honestly, it's a great display of leadership from the infamous Matthew Tkachuk. At this point of the playoffs, only one win away from history, recognizing the organizational input into their success is a classy move.
Tlachuk proves to be a better leader with classy gesture after game 3
Tkachuk still plays the role of a pest on the ice, but he has matured over the years into a great leader. Leading the Panther to back to back Cup Finals, he's been a part of establishing a winning culture in Florida. Honestly, he seems much different from the turtling days in Calgary.
It shows an impressive commitment and perspective on winning for the Panthers organization, and will clearly be a tall task for the Oilers to overcome. Only one team has ever come back from down 3 games to win the Stanley Cup in history, but if there was a team who could do it, it would be these Edmonton Oilers. The test begins tomorrow night, where the Oilers must win to just keep their season alive.
