Oilers fans prove that they're the best in the league with incredible scenes at arena
Today, the Edmonton Oilers played their final game before the all star break, and secured their 16th straight win by a score of 4-1 over the Nashville Predators. The Oilers are just one game away now from tying the all-time win streak record of 17, and playing their next game on the road, this could be the fans' last chance to salute the team for the incredible win streak. In the final minute of the game with the win guaranteed, the fans gave the Oilers a standing ovation.
It was an incredible scene to see the fans recognize and appreciate the Oilers' incredible success while they're as hot as a team could be.
If the Oilers play another home game while the winning streak is still alive, they'll soar past the record with a 19 game win streak at least - and having to beat the Vegas Golden Knights, Anaheim Ducks, and LA Kings next. The next opportunity they'll have to play at home after the all-star break is February 13th against the Detroit Red Wings.
