According to sources, Predators could be more serious when talking trades about star goalie Juuse Saros. It has been known around the league that Preds GM Barry Trotz is listening to any trade offers, but it is unlikely for it to happen and he would have to be blown away'.

Trotz has said the following in a recent 102.5 radio interview

«He's been a special player, no question. But at the same time, you have to listen for the long-term as well. If an asset comes that you just can't envision yourself getting and our strength is goaltending then you would have to consider»

Saros would likely ask for a massive contract extension in July, which would likely be similar to Connor Hellybuck's 7 year $59.5 million dollar deal that he signed in the off season.

Teams that will likely hold an interest in Saros include, New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers, and Los Angeles Kings. These teams are looking to strengthen their goaltending going into the post season and Saros could be the answer. Earlier in the season the Edmonton Oilers would've been prime suitors for Saros, but now the team is confident heading into the playoffs with Skinner, Pickard, and Campbell waiting in the wings.

According to Elliotte Friedman they are looking for a high-end offensive player. Players such as Marty Necas, and Quinton Byfield could definitely be playing cards.
