Jets' defenceman Logan Stanley had a real rough showing last night. Predators forward Michael McCarron caught Stanley with one punch to send him down, then flexed to the crowd on his way out.

Just because you're tall, clearly doesn't mean you can fight. McCarron held himself in the fight with Stanley long enough to find one opportunity to surprise him with a devastating right hook that sent Stanley packing. McCarron was clearly pumped up by the fight win and tried to motivate his team to come back in the game by flexing on his way to the bench.

The fight did energize the Predators to make a comeback effort, but the ended up falling just short and losing by a score of 4-3 to the Jets. After the game, McCarron explained the emotion of the fans and his teammates fuelling the flex celebration, and the fact that he really landed that punch on Stanley.

»I haven't hit someone that hard in a long time.»

With playoff hockey around the corner, the physical play is sure to really star ramping up - especially in games that have implications on the standings. Gear up hockey fans!
