Alex Galchenyuk Facing Major Lawsuit of $400,000 by Canadian Bank
Alex Galchenyuk finds himself facing a series of unfortunate events, as his troubles continue to escalate. After his recent run-in with Arizona police, resulting in his contract release from the Coyotes, things are getting worse. Now, Galchenyuk is reportedly being sued by the Royal Bank of Canada for nearly $400,000 over a breach of contract.
Court documents reveal that back in June 2014, when he played for the Habs, Galchenyuk allegedly took out a loan amounting to $299,466.88 in US dollars. Despite being notified of his default status in April, the 29-year-old player refused to settle the debt with the bank.
The Royal Bank of Canada is now seeking the repayment of the entire loan, along with interest at an annual rate of 9.2%. This legal battle adds to Galchenyuk's woes, as he is already dealing with legal troubles stemming from his recent hit and run incident.
The situation could lead to a courtroom showdown, adding further challenges to Galchenyuk's already tumultuous situation.
