Canadian Team Waives Former 2nd Round Pick From The Organization

The Winnipeg Jets have placed one of their players on waivers today. This comes from Sportsnet's Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman, Jets General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has placed 25 year-old Jansen Harkins on waivers today.
Harkins is a forward from Cleveland Ohio and was a top prospect being drafted by the Jets back in the 2015 NHL draft in the 2nd round 47th overall.
Harkins has 3 goals, and 2 assists in 22 games with the Jets this season. Harkins has a cap hit of just $850,000, if no one claims Harkins by Tuesday at 2pm Harkins will be sent down to the Jets AHL affiliate the Manitoba Moose.
