Oilers fan favourite was healthy scratched for his second game in a row - what's going on?

Klim Kostin, the Oilers forward who was acquired from the Saint Louis Blues has become somewhat of a fan favourite this season with his great play and overall goodwill nature with the fans. He has embraced his time with the Oilers and enjoyed the city and what the team has to offer.
Recently, however, Kostin was scratched his last game agaisnt the Bruins. With the Oilers on the road against the high-flying Toronto Maple Leafs, a game which many have described as a high-skill treat to watch The Oilers decided not to play Kostin and bring Devin shore back to the lineup.
Fans continue to scratch their heads as to why head coach Jay Woodcroft continues to scratch this player.
The 23-year-old Russian has played 42 games, has scored ten goals with eight assists for 18 points and is a + 12 he also has a total of 55 penalty minutes. Before his recent healthy scratches, he was riding 5 points in six games total.
The Oilers returned home to play the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, March 14th at 9:00 PM.
