The winds of change have been blowing through Winnipeg after the Jets had lost in five games to the Colorado Avalanche. Several players may be on the move this summer and an NHL source has stated to the Athletic that the Jets are preparing to shop Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers.

Ehlers had a disappointing playoff as he only had two assists through five games and was a - 4. He holds a $6 million cap hit going into next season which will be his final year of his deal which allows the Jets to sign him long term.

There's a strong possibility that he will not want to re sign with The Jets long term which will force general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff to make a decision to find him a new home before his contract expires.

The team has already gone under a major change, earlier today jets head coach Rick Bowness decided to call it a career and retire from his profession.

The Jets will be a very busy team this summer and it's quite likely the product on the ice will look very different with 17 contracts signed and $13 million in cap space to work with.
