MAJOR: A huge trade rumour between the Canadiens and Oilers has just been confirmed
Edmonton Oilers are in desperate need of a solid tandem in net, as they're floundering without one.
According to reports, the Edmonton Oilers continue to scout
Jake Allen and have watched him play recently.
As the team has renewed interest in the former Stanley Cup-winning goalie, they watched his performance against the Los Angeles Kings today.
A trade between Ken Holland and Kent Hughes may be in the works as a result of the continued interest.
Jake Allen is in net this afternoon in L.A. Once again, the Edmonton Oilers have a scout present.
While this is an ongoing topic, some NHL insiders have not reached a consensus as names like Samuel Montembault and
Cayden Primeau have entered the discussion.
Both sides agree, however, that they are in talks, but nothing has been finalized.
It seems likely that Jake Allen may be the piece going back in a trade, however.
