According to reports, the Edmonton Oilers continue to scout Jake Allen and have watched him play recently.
As time passes, rumors continue to link the Edmonton Oilers, the Habs, and Kent Hughes. Jack Campbell, Stuart Skinner, and Calvin Pickard do not seem to be the solution for the Edmonton Oilers.
As the team has renewed interest in the former Stanley Cup-winning goalie, they watched his performance against the Los Angeles Kings today.
A trade between Ken Holland and Kent Hughes may be in the works as a result of the continued interest.
While this is an ongoing topic, some NHL insiders have not reached a consensus as names like Samuel Montembault and Cayden Primeau have entered the discussion.
Both sides agree, however, that they are in talks, but nothing has been finalized.
It seems likely that Jake Allen may be the piece going back in a trade, however.
