Evander Kane apparently was the target of a random attack from a racist while out today, and took to social media to share the video.

Kane shared the video on his Instagram story, beginning with him arguing loudly with a man on camera. Kane says that the man said to him and his friend that you people don't belong here', but the man seems to be denying anything now that a camera is out. While the two parties argue in the video, Kane attached an added explanation in the text on the video.

»This cyclist was riding his bike past my vehicle and decided to spit on it as he rode by. And then confronted him as he tried to deny the claim luckily a friend of mine in the area who was driving by, pulled over to intervene in our conversation. This gentlemen then proceeded to tell me and my friend and I quote you people don't belong here' it's incredibly disappointing. There are people still like this today.»

The man in the video refuses to continue the argument when Kane turns the video on, and Kane himself is soon able to calm himself. It may be fortunate that Kane's other friend arrived to calm down the situation from escalating further.

It's absolutely horrific that anyone has to endure this kind of personal attack, and there's not bounds on it even towards a star athlete like Evander Kane.

At the moment, Evander Kane's health status is in limbo heading into next season, but it's believed that the star forward will begin the year on the injured reserve. Hopefully Kane will be able to return to the team. at least in next year's playoffs.
