The World Junior Hockey Championships began the quarter final games last night, and all eyes have been on Team Canada, and more specifically the projected 1st overall pick in this summer's NHL Draft Connor Bedard.

Bedard tied numerous records in Canada's 5-1 win over Team Sweden on New Year's eve. Fans wanted to see what Connor Bedard would do next including Team Canada alumni Jordan Eberle.

Eberle has gone on to have a solid career and is a big part of the Seattle Kraken. Eberle decided to give Bedard a special message wishing him luck and cheering him on to a hopeful gold medal again this tournament.

Bedard didn't disappoint, scoring the first goal of the game to pass Jordan Eberle for most goals by a Canadian, as well as passing Eric Lindros for most points by a Canadian player all time and most points in a single tournament.

Bedard would get an assist on Dylan Guenther's goal to make it 2-0 Canada. Unfortunately for Canada Slovakia would battle back down 3-1 to force overtime, winner goes on lower goes home.

Bedard would then put the team on his back dangle through the Slovakian players and he pulled off a filthy deke on the Slovakia goaltender to send Canada to the Semi Finals Vs Team USA.
