The fallout from Saturday night's game between Team USA and Team Canada is continuing to be felt in which defenseman Drew Doughty his prepared to fight Matthew Tkachuk if needed.

During an interview on NHL on TNT, former NHLer and commentator Paul Bissonnette ask Doughty if he was prepared to drop the gloves and fight Tkachuk if he called upon him. Doughty smiled with a short laugh and said he would do anything for his country which includes fighting Tkachuk.

Stage is set for showdown between Canada and USA

Doughty was asked to step in to this tournament prior to its beginning after Team Canada defenseman Alex Pietrangelo decided to pull out of the tournament at the last minute.
The energy between the United States and Canada in this tournament has been electric to say the least. With the absence of best-on-best competition between the two countries has certainly amped up the energy and the determination of both teams to try to win this tournament.
Even the two fanbases have been digging into one another on social media and in discussions on television to what the outcome will be for the finals. Both players share a long history as adversaries when Tkachuk played his early years in Calgary against Doughty's Los Angeles Kings.

Both Teams will have injuries to contend with

As the tournament has gone on, injuries have begun to pile up for both teams with Shea Theodore out for the tournament, Matthew Tkachuk and Austin Matthews
sitting out their game against Team Sweden.
There also has been an illness that has plagued Team Canada which kept defenseman Cale Makar out of the lineup against Team USA on Saturday it seems to be better and played against team Finland today.
It's likely that these injuries are minor for most players, and they will be ready for Thursday as the scene shifts to Boston MA and the finals will be played out on February 20th.
