In the last ten minutes of the third period of game two, things unravelled for the Oilers as Leon Draisaitl took a bad penalty for a dirty hit.

Barkov was down on the play for several moments while being attended to by the trainer, and the referees reviewed the play before deciding on a two minute minor penalty for Draisaitl.

Draisaitl skated hard into Barkov and looked to leave his feet, and led with his hands into the face of Aleksander Barkov. It was a terrible hit from Draisaitl at a time the Oilers were pushing to erase a one goal lead, and instead, the Panthers ended their amazing penalty kill streak to score a dagger goal to make it 3-1.

With their captain down on the ice, the Panthers responded by grabbing every Oiler in sight in a mob. Aaron Ekblad had his arm around Evan Bouchard's neck, forcing Bouchard to literally tap his arm to be released. He looked to be struggling to breathe.

As the series wears on, the physicality will only increase as the rivalries get more intense. There's been plenty enough rough stuff in this game that players will remember for game 3 when the series returns to Edmonton.
