The Edmonton Oilers have had a superb offseason so far, making great additions to a roster that already went to the Stanley Cup Final. Now, they're officially the favourites to win it all next year.

According to B/R Betting, the Edmonton Oilers are the most likely team to win the Cup next season, followed by the Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars, and a tie of the Leafs, Rangers, Hurricanes, Avalanche, and Devils.

The Oilers scored the most goals of any team last season, and added tons more scoring to their offence with Jeff Skinner and Victor Arvidsson. A move to upgrade the defence is reportedly coming too, but adding even more offensive threats to this Oilers team would make them impossible to to defend. Their team strategy could end up being that their best defence is playing offence.

Not only have their offseason additions been incredible, but the most important players were all retained in free agency, and will be coming back next season with an attitude of taking care of unfinished business. Being so close to the Stanley Cup, McDavid and the Oilers will be more motivated than ever to win it all next year.

If everything goes well for the Oilers next year, they'll be a team at the top of the standings and primed for a long run in the playoffs. Hopefully next year they'll get home ice advantage, because the Oilers always feel unbeatable at Rogers Place.
